hon·or
(ä-ner) noun _______________.

How would YOU fill in the blank?

Honor is more than just behavior change. Honor comes from the heart. It affects the way people think, the way they act, and the way they treat others around them. Honor motivates parents to treat children differently. It gives children more constructive ways to interact with their parents. It helps siblings develop tolerance and patience. Honor builds incredibly strong bonds that, in turn, benefit all members of the family.

Families CAN thrive today. Success has to do with character development and how equipped family members are to relate to others outside the family. It involves creating homes where children and adults are able to make mistakes and learn from them, growing spiritually, emotionally, and relationally with each other. From single-parent to blended, families are finding real solutions through honor.

You don’t want to miss this everyone-in-the-family event! Children, ages 3-12, will learn what honor is through a fishing expedition, how to deal with selfishness through a construction site, how to address their own anger and then go one step further by becoming peacemakers. And for the adults and teens, an interactive video series/discussion led by Pastor Mace will guide attendees how to implement these ideas at home. As a result, your family will grow closer together.

Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 pm, January 12-April 6, 2010. FMI about this program, please contact Melissa Molineaux at 240-818-8886. Register the entire family for only $15 (for materials).
